Dear Friends,

Season’s Greetings!

May our letter find you in good health.

We are here asking you to be part of the tradition we have practiced over the past 4 years – that of making Christmas meaningful for children with cancer.

We have always counted on your help and as always, the response was overwhelming. Every year, the children and their families consider the Project: Brave Kids Christmas party as their best party. This gives so much meaning to what we do that it will be difficult for us to break this tradition.

Project: Brave Kids Inc. is committed to make the lives of these children and their families more bearable and Christmas is one season why we work double time to make this happen.

For more than four years that we have been serving PCMC, there are three things that we have found out that these children and their families want for Christmas. These are:
1. A simple gift
2. Raffle prizes
3. A Noche Buena basket
4. And a fun party, highlighted by seeing showbiz personalities while sharing a good meal

Hearing these wishes just shows that despite their condition they remain children at heart – wishing like any ordinary child. However, when faced with reality, the uncertainty of their wishes being granted settles in. As with any family burdened with the cost of chemotherapy, anything unnecessary always takes the back seat. This reality not only breaks the child’s heart and their parents’. It breaks ours as well.

Again, it is because of these three simple reasons that we are writing you. We are asking you to help us bring the joy of Christmas back into their lives. We’ve always counted on your support in making things happen for them. We hope this year, you won’t fail us.

We know too well that Filipinos have overstretched their pockets to help others who were afflicted with Ondoy and Pepeng, but we also pray that you still have some extra for these children who deserve to have a happy Christmas.

We also hope you can all join us on December 9, from 2PM to 5 PM and all together we can bring Christmas cheers to these children.
