a thousand years

February 15, 2012

by Christina Perri

Heart beats fast, colors and promises
How to be brave, how can I love when I’m afraid
To fall but watching you stand alone
All of my doubt suddenly goes away somehow

One step closer

I have died everyday waiting for you
Darlin’ don’t be afraid I have loved you
For a thousand years
I’ll love you for a thousand more

Time stands still, beauty I know she is
I will be brave, I will not let anything take
Away what’s standing in front of me
Every breath, every hour has come to this

One step closer

I have died everyday waiting for you
Darlin’ don’t be afraid I have loved you
For a thousand years
I’ll love you for a thousand more

And all along I believed I would find you
Time has brought your heart to me I have loved you
For a thousand years
I’ll love you for a thousand more

One step closer
One step closer

I have died everyday waiting for you
Darlin’ don’t be afraid, I have loved you
For a thousand years
I’ll love you for a thousand more

And all along I believed I would find you
Time has brought your heart to me I have loved you
For a thousand years
I’ll love you for a thousand more

I’ve been hearing this song lately on the radio, and I got captivated. Apparently, it’s part of the Breaking Dawn part 1 movie of the Twilight Saga. With all the fuss yesterday, I felt it apt to share this song.

Belated Happy Valentine’s Day, everyone! =)

missing you like crazy

March 1, 2010

A few weeks ago, my friend and I watched the Kim and Gerald movie “Paano Na Kaya”. Before the movie started, we were able to catch the trailer for the Bea and John Lloyd movie “Miss You Like Crazy” and we then vowed to watch it — thus our movie date last night.

I’m not a good writer, and I do not usually write reviews. This is not even one. I just wanted to share some of the things I noticed. Don’t worry, I’ll try hard not to include spoilers here.

Story/Script — I liked the story because it was very relatable. There was just a part of the story where I felt had it gone another way, it would’ve been a little different. But I loved a lot of the lines in the movie…like Ketchup Eusebio’s question, “kung walang masasaktan, sino ang pipiliin mo?”

Direction/Acting — I like Bea and John Lloyd’s acting…they usually do not disappoint. In the movie however, there was a scene where I think John Lloyd’s character should have felt a conflict of emotions — passion, love, and pain — altogether. I’m not sure if it’s in the direction or if it’s his acting. But that’s the only part that I think could’ve been improved.

Cinematography — I’m not sure if this really is the cinematography, but I  loved the “split room” shots. There were 2 in the movie and I think they were tastefully made.

All in all, I liked the movie. I congratulate Star Cinema for this. If anyone asks me if I would recommend it, I would say yes. I may not have cried like I did in Maricel, Aga and Angelica’s Love Story, but I believe I got a good value for my money. It’s a must-watch! =)
